Athletic Director of the Year Award

Coaches, if you have an outstanding Athletic Director, here's your opportunity to give them the recognition they deserve! The MCCA Executive Board will conduct a nomination review process annually. When deemed appropriate, an Athletic Director of the Year will be selected. To be considered for this award, all nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Must be or have been an athletic director for five (5) or more years (does not have to be consecutive years), to include the end of the current school year.
- Must be or have been directly involved in the administration of the cheer program.
- Must have demonstrated an appreciation for and knowledge of current cheerleading developments.
- Must be actively supportive of the cheerleading coach, cheerleaders, and program. (i.e., attends competitions, provides services/makes arrangements for the program, cheers with team at athletic events, etc.)
Method of Selection:
- Only MCCA members may submit nominations.
- Nominations must be postmarked by January 15. Each member may submit one (1) nomination per year.
- Valid nominations will be presented to the Executive Board at the February meeting.
- The Executive Board will vote to determine an Outstanding Athletic Director of the Year when deemed appropriate. Selection will be based on consideration of the letters of recommendation.
Additional Information:
- The recipient will be notified and invited to attend the award presentation at the Spring Conference banquet as an honored guest.
- A newsletter article honoring the recipient will be included in MCCA's spring newsletter.
